Hi everyone.  A friend told me about this web site.  I had my surgery on
September 13 and I love my new life.  I started out at 316 pounds.  I was miserable and had a back injury I could not get better.  The doctor informed me it was my stomach keeping it from getting better.  He was right.  Since my surgery I exercise in the pool most every day and have seen great improvement.  I am down about 40 pounds and have had few problems.  I am looking forward to getting to know a lot of you and getting some support.

Welcome to the AL board!  I am fairly new on this board myself.  From Va, but moved to AL from KY 4 months ago.

Good luck with your wl journey!

Welcome!  We've got an awesome group of folks on this board, but it isn't as busy as it used to be.  Welcome to the "loser's bench" and we are here for you.

Welcome friend!  Nice to "meet" you.  I have not had surgery yet, but I have found tremendous support and information here.  You are already down 40 lbs.  That is awesome!  I am very proud of you.  I am very excited about having surgery and hope it will be sometime in mid-January.  I wish you continued success in your weight loss journey.  I hope you keep coming back here.

Thanks for the encouragement!  Good luck on your upcoming surgery.  What procedure are you having?   I had the RNY.  It was great.  The most trouble I had was the pain from the gas.  It seems like the weight just melts off.  The eating is different.  You can eat so little.  Sometimes I miss just taking a big bite of something.  But it is worth it.  Thanks for the support
