The good news..........the meniscus is not torn..........the bad news.........I have arthritis, and they are going to do a steroid injection...if that gives me relief-good.  If not, they'll scope it and clean up under the knee cap.

I can run, hike do whatever I want....of course he said "let the pain be your guide"....right now, the pain is too much for running...I'm geting the steroid injection tomorrow.....keep your fingers crossed!

All I can say is OUCH Kim.  I've had the steroid shot in both knees and it was not pleasant.  I think the worse place I've ever had it was inbetween my toes.  I cried out in pain.  The knees did bring tears to my eyes but it was manageable.  The shots worked for me and that was a big relief.  Jogging was what got my arthritis flared up.   I still had too much weight on me to try to jog.  I learned my lesson.  I couldn't climb stairs for almost 2 months and I walked like a really old lady.  You could tell I was in pain with every step.  I wish you well and pray that the injection does the trick.

Kim, that is good news.  Maybe the injection will help.
I joined our gym this week.  I will not start until next week and I am looking forward to it.  It is on the order of CURVES and I hope it will be enough to shake off a few more pounds.  One good benefit of the membership is that they have Zumba classes.  I don't know if I will like that or be able to do it but I have heard snippets about it.  Most say it is fun.  I will let you know how this OLD lady does.

Knee problems are not fun I hope it comes down to the least painful method of dealing with it all!
