Finished the 5K today!!
You WILL be able to do it! I couldn't walk from the house to the mailbox without getting winded. Start now. I was 325 lbs and working out every day 6 months before my surgery. I walked and did weights. Some days I cried because of how little I could do, but I NEVER GAVE UP. Now, I jog, do P90X, yoga, nautilus, hike.....the sky is the limit!! (of course I've got to deal with this bum knee now, but I think it will be nothing major (at least that is what I keep telling myself!!))
