I am loving this Fall weather this morning!  I had to put a cardigan on today!  The weekend was pretty quiet.....DH and I went running Saturday and almost burst into flames it was so hot!  I didn't get to try out the new backpack because it was just too stinkin hot this weekend....maybe next weekend!  I cooked a crockpot roast yesterday (yum) and baked cupcakes of which I had two (should've skipped the 2nd one...got a little yucky feeling after the 2nd one).

Today's food:

B-1/2 ww english muffin and 1 hard boiled egg
S-Kashi bar
L-Lean Cuisine spaghetti and meatballs
S-pear, chobani peach yogurt
D-grilled burger patty and 1/2 c canned corn
Desser****ermelon

Gotta behave a few days due to the cupcakes yesterday!!  Tonight I'll do P90X-something with weights...upper body--probably chest and back (not my fave), and then abs.  I may run some too--the weather is sooo nice!

Everybody have a great day!

Good Monday morning Kim.  I did not "watch" it very closely over the weekend but I don't think there was any damage done.  I am back on track this morning.  I have an appointment with my Dr. next week and I hope he can see the loss I have had since the last visit.  It is my PCP not my surgeon.  I have not seen my surgeon in a LONG, LONG time.  Is there a list of the blood work we need somewhere?  I am not sure he looks at everything that needs looking at.  At 6 years out I should be extra careful with numbers.
What is chobani yogurt?  Is that a brand?  I looked at Walmart Saturday for it because you talk about it so much.  I wanted to try it.
Have a great Monday and keep it real!!!

Hi Debbie!!! Chobani is a brand of greek yogurt and its DELISH!!!! Walmart however doesnt carry it. Do you have a Publix? so far thats the only place ive seen with it. Its sooo good!

Good luck at the doctors. im not sure about the list of bloodwork but i didnt see my "surgeon" for a few years since i was one year post op bc he retird and i didnt like the one who took his place. I finally went last year to see the new one, and i still dont like him (for reasons not dealing with ME) but i am due back in November. Im on the road to losing (ive lost 7lbs so far) im hoping to be down atleast 20 by my visit with him so he'll be proud.

Have a great monday.

Chobani is a brand--WalMart doesn't carry it (Sam's does!)--Publix has it.  Go to their website and you can download a coupon to buy two get one free.

I have some bloodwork info I copied from another forum on OH the other day:

They should be taking around 15-20 tubes of blood.  Less than that, they aren't checking everything.

Did you really say 15-20 tubes of blood?  I have never had that much taken.  I think the most they ever do is about 3 or 4.  Dr. Stahl is my doctor and I have the blood work done right there beside his office.  Should I speak up and say something about this???  I'm going to print your list off but I thought that all of this has been being checked.  Evidently I'm wrong.  I can't imagine them taking that much blood.  Eeeek!!!

Kim 15 to 20 tubes is wrong.  I have had blood drawn ever year since my surgery and sometimes more often,  Also as a nurse who has drawn blood all you need is at the most 4 tubes.  1 tube for the chemistry, 1 tube for CBC, 1 tube for the B12 and folate.  Sometimes we would draw an extra to make sure we had enough for everthing that would fall under the chemistry.
This is what my doctor draws for yearly labs,

Hi! i did pretty good this weekend. Saturday i had 2 slices of thin crust pizza and 2 wings (not in one sitting) I didnt eat much at all Saturday due to a bad bad migraine so i dont think it killed me what i did eat. throw in half a pc of toast w. pb butter and a protein shake and that was my day saturday.

Monday, i did 25mins on the elliptical this morning. yay me. i hated every minute of it but i will do it atleast 4 days a week.

eating wise, here goes
B-D-Lights turkey sausage bowl, minus mostof the potatoes. Its STILL sitting hard.
L-bbq'd chicken breast w/ small salad
S-banana or apple w/pb butter
S or D(before ball)-protein shake
D (after ball. 830)-peppercorn pork tenderloin. 3oz. bite or 2 of creamed corn.

I havent tracked this yet but im hoping it isnt too bad.

I thought is seemed extreme too--again, it was something I found on this site so take it for what it is worth.....I did find the list of things to check interesting though....I've never had all those checked...probably never in my life!

I'm gonna take the list to my next appt with Dr. Sherer and see what he says.
