Group MeetUp Question: Auburn/Opelika Area Folks

Still working on setting up some kind of support group for the Auburn/Opelika area folks, but I had some questions about your preferences for meeting....

Week Day or Weekend? (weekends would be hard during football season!)

What time? 5:30 p.m.? 6 p.m.?

How often would you like to meet? Once a month? Once every two months?

What kind of location would be comfortable for you? I am trying to get something more private set up so that we can talk more freely, but if that does not work out, would folks be willing to meet in a public venue? Coffee shop? Something like that?

Thanks!

Mary :)

Mary,

Thank you for setting something up!   I am game for anything although I do have a crazy work schedule at times.

For the next three months I will have Thursdays and Fridays off so those days are good for me at anytime.

I can meet in the evenings on Sat/Sun/Mon anytime at 6 pm or later (I have to drive back from Montgomery when I get off of work).

Tuesday and Wednesday evenings are out for me because those are going to be my two evening shift days.....unless it was a brunch/lunch meeting.

I am comfortable meeting anywhere. Doesn't matter!

Thanks for your input, Leslie! You have to drive all the way back from Montgomery? Yuck! I know that drive gets old!

I have a friend looking into a private meeting area on campus, but if that doesn't pan out within the next week or so, I think I'll just plan something in a public meeting area just to get things going!

Panera Bread (across from the mall in Auburn) would be a good place to talk and get a coffee or tea...they have self-serve free refills on basic coffee/tea orders and plenty of seating, so for a small group (which I think this will be) it should be perfect!

Yes the drive gets old.  I live between Opelika and Phenix City.  After vacation next week, we will
be putting the house on the market, so if you know anyone looking to buy in that area, send them my way!   I have got to get closer to work as the drive is draining my energy.

Panera Bread is good with me.  I am a frequent mall visitor and know exactly where it is  :)
By the way, Belk's has a WONDERFUL sale going on!

Just let me know when you plan it.....I will be out of town the 19th thru 27th!   Disney and then to VA for my high school class reunion!

I don't blame you! That must be at least an hour drive!  From where you are columbus, GA is much closer than Montgomery. I like going to Columbus better... even from Auburn it's closer.

I will keep you updated! :)

10-4!

And it is an hour and 15 min to an hour 25 min for me to get on base to work.  I will feel that drive in the morning when I get off at 8!

Thank god for coffee!
