how do you get your fix?
My question is what do you eat or how to do you get your fix when you want a tad of something sweet? I also would like healthy snack options. i get hungry around 2-3 at work bc we eat lunch so early but some days like today when TOM's visiting i just want a bite of something sweet. Todays a deadly sin lmao. i started and started my diet. bad combo! LOL!!

I have several things on hand for those moments.
1) TrueNorth nut clusters-perfect for the salty/sweet craving
2) Always have NSA ice cream bars
3) Always have Chobani Greek yogurt in several flavors (pineapple, strawberry banana and peach are my faves)
4) Dark chocolate-80% cocoa (a few squares of this will knock it out of me!)
I eat my yogurt at work everyday between 2-3....that is when I need something sweet too.
You don't have to give up sweets....just find the ones that will do it for you--and eat 6 meals a day--that really helps me to never get hungry.

NSA ice cream parts. i never thought of those. I use to keep SF Fudgesicles around.
Chobani Greek yogurt is SO good and it is a good sweet fix for me but someone told me to eat all my carbs in the morning so i try to not eat that in the afternoons. i hate carbs and they scare me when im trying to change my eating habits. i want to make this a lifestyle change so i have lots of questions that i should have answered years ago.

I know i eat too much so im trying to halve it or measure everything. I can eat a double cheeseburger from McD's (no i dont normally do this) I do eat whopper jrs from time to timeand i can eat the whole thing and a few fries. THATS SCARY!
I use to graze alot so now im trying to set times and eat only at them times.

I eat at 5:30 a.m., 8:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. and then dessert around 8:00 p.m.
First meal I eat is breakfast and I'd say usually consists of about a 1/2 cup of food (I'm not extremely hungry that early-I make myself eat). Next "meal" is a Kashi bar, then lunch which again is approx 1 cup of food (I can eat a whole small Lean Cuisine) then at 2 I have my yogurt, then at 6 dinner (again about 1 cup of food) and at 8 dessert which is usually fruit or a NSA ice cream or a sugar free pudding. If I get hungry at other times I'll eat a bite of cheese, fresh fruit or a couple of the nut clusters. Eating this way I never get too hungry and my energy stays way up. I don't worry about when I eat my carbs, I just try to get 40% of my total daily intake from protein. I eat a very wide variety of foods so I never get bored (I love to cook so that is a bonus). Most days 1/2 of my total calorie intake (which is between 1,500-1,800 daily) is from carbs.

I can't lie......I eat something sweet.
Not much because I still dump. But if I "need" it, I eat. Then I do a little extra exercise and drink a lot of water.
I don't eat naughty stuff everyday or even once a week......just those now and then moments....especially that TOM. One of my faves is Dark CHocolate covered espresso beans!
But on a regular basis / daily, I stick to healthy stuff. I do find that if I eat more protein, I do not get as hungry nor do I have as much room for junk foods. So definitely keep the protein count up!
