Well DH and I did our first hike of the season yesterday--we have to get ready for our Smoky mountain trip next month!  We banged out 9 miles at Oak Mountain, and oh did I feel it!  Then I was hungry all day long after all that exercise!

Tonight I'm getting my hair "did"--cut and culla (just a kiss of sunshine added to my drab blonde)-so I don't think I'll be exercising today--besides, the upper body is sore from cutting lawn on Saturday and HAD TO BAG THE GRASS--which means the stupid heavy bag had to be emptied umpteen zillion times!, then big arm/shoulder workout Sunday (increased my weights to 15 lbs)--so I need a day of rest....

Food:

B-1 sl double fiber toast with PB and 1/2 banana
S-Kashi bar
L-tandoori chicken and orzo salad (leftovers from a friend's house this weekend--yum!)
S-watermelon, Chobani yogurt
D-going to Logan's-steak and a few bites of salad and sweet potato

No dessert today--I indulged a few times this weekend, so I need to cut back for a few days!

Have a great day all!

Be sure and post pics of the new do. Wow 9 miles.. I'm so jealous. My hubby does not hike and I won't go by myself. I mowed grass yesterday with a push mower. It had not been cut in like forever. I had to stop every 2-3 minutes and empty the bag. I will never let it go that long again. LOL.
Using 15 pound weights is also quite impressive. I have to admit I've back slidden on my P90X. I get back on the train today. I was studying for my social work licensure exam and quit working out. I passed the exam, which is a good thing. I quit exercising which is a bad thing.

I will walk about 3 miles this evening because I promised my dogs if they were good while I bathed them we would go for a super long walk. They didn't understand me, or did they? I am also doing the first workout of P90X.

Today's food:
B - carbmaster yogurt, blueberries, strawberries, and Kashi Go-Lean
S - None
L - Tossed salad with grilled chicken on it, low fat parmesan vingerette dressing, 2 corn thins
S - Probably some trail mix and an apple
D - Turkey chili (made it yesterday) and cheese toast
S - Maybe a protein shake

Sometimes you have to give up something because life can only demand so much of you!  You are wise to get back into the swing of exercise--and after several months, you could be up to 15 lb weights too....I was actually surprised....I started with 8, then went to 10, then 12 and all of a sudden I could do 15-I do think this is where I'll stop though....I'll just add reps...I do not want bulky muscles--just good tone and definition which is where I am now (at least on my arms....I'm sure I have great abs and leg muscles- just can't see 'em because of the skin!).

Good to see ya again, and I love the new pic!

Kim

Oh, and FYI....I STILL CANNOT DO A ONE HANDED PUSH UP!!  I'll keep trying though!

Glad you like the new avi. I kinda like it too. I do use 10 pound weights for most things. I can't do a one armed push up either but I am working on it.

Now I have to get busy.

Today was my first day off in 7 days and it felt great!
Did some mall shopping and relaxed........  Not a great food day for me.

Ate a snack of peanut butter and crackers at 6:30 am then slept til 9:50!
Showered and then straight to lunch.....1/2 of a Turkey and Swiss Market Fresh sandwich from Arby's...no mayo, no honey mustard and pulled off 1/2 the bread along with an unsweet Mandarin Peach tea.
S:   Diet Mtn. Dew and Funyons
D:   a homemade steak fajita (used a high protein wrap for the tortilla), few chips and salsa

Now the bad part.....

S1:   toasted cereal
S2:  a 100 cal. nutty bar
S3 @ 12:20 am - 1 slice bread, 1 slice cheese, 1 serving deli sliced chicken, pickle slices, handful of chips

I have been a bottomless pit and now can't sleep!   I hate insomnia!!!!!
