I Can't Believe It
For the first time in over 4 months I was able to eat most of a meal with no pain, nausea or vomiting. The local gastroenterologist who also does gastric banding says I am not a surgical candidate for repair of my hiatal hernia nor for the nissen fundoplication due to my existing VBG. He said he could refer me to Mayo Clinic or to Emory University.
My new rheumatologist made several suggestions and adjusted some current medications and in 24 hours time I can begin to see improvement.
There is hope for me yet. BTW--the gallbladder stays for now.

He stressed to as well as the surgeon that this was absolutely NO FAULT of my weight loss surgery. This is simply a result of life itself. My reheumatologist suggested I stay on 40mg of Nexium and take it 30 minutes to an hour BEFORE the meal with liquids. He said to take the Zantac twice a day making it 600 mg a day the same way. Also contrary to gastric bypass rules he wants me to take SMALL sips of liquid with meals to avoid the food clogging from being dry.
He said to go back to the basics and eat six to 8 small meals a day from a saucer and limit the fried foods if not cut therm out entirely and watch the slider foods.
I also sleep on 2 pillows and have the head of the bed lifted on a brick
Also go back on Folic acid daily except the day I take the methotrexate. I can see a difference just by these simple adjustments. It is not a cure but it is a help.
