Tuesday-Whatcha Eatin? Moving at All In This Heat??
Oh, I ended up having the watermelon last night AND a NSA Klondike bar...yummo.
Today:

S-Kashi bar
L-Healthy Choice steamer-grilled basil chicken
S-grapes, Chobani peach yogurt
D-left over roast and cream corn
Dessert will likely be an ice cream bar again
Exercise will be P90X weights-too hot to go outside.
Question: have any of yall had your gallbladder go bad on ya? I've been having symptoms....and I just don't want another surgery..........how long between the symptoms and actually having to have it removed?? I really hoped I'd escape this possible issue...............
on 8/10/10 12:05 am
B - oatmeal, coffee
S - cheese
L - I made chicken/rice casserole so I nibble on that
S - cheese or cottage cheese
D - more casserole
Going to the gym after work.
I will walk the dogs about a mile later on. If it were cooler, we could and would go further. I don't need 3 little dog with heat stroke. I am definitely doing the Kenpo X in just a bit.
Eats today are:
B - HiLo cereal, blueberries, strawberries, and carbmaster yogurt
S - If I have one will be a protein shake
L - Salad with some deli turkey on it
S - mayble some melba toast with laughing cow cheese or some genisoy chocolate mint chips
D - grilled pork tenderloin and broccoli. I will probably make my hubby some rice.
S - Hopefully none. I don't do well with after dinner snacks.
Kim, what type symptoms are you having? Are they worse after drinking or eating a milk product? Bad gallbladders don't like milk. When I was having trouble, I was throwing up everything so I thought yogurt would be so yummy. NOTTTTT!!!!! I didn't eat yogurt for almost 2 years after that.
You should probably have the gb checked out. I ended up having a stone in my common duct and was jaundiced. Luckily the stone moved and I didnt' have to have a common duct exploration, but the surgeon had prepared me for the worst. Like Debbie said, if it is infected it will be more difficult to remove the longer it stays in. I was a surgical tech for years and have assisted with the removal of many a bad gallbladder. Good luck.
B: 1/2 c fresh strawberries, 1 mini-bagel with cream cheese
L: Grilled chicken wrap with cheese and lettuce, unsweet tea
S: Smoked almonds and 4 cheese cubes
D: Breakfast Burrito
S: Iced Skinny Cinnamon Dolce from Starbucks...venti of course!
Working this evening so lots of walking and sweating! LOL
If you are having problems with your gall bladder, I'd go ahead and get it out. It will only get worse. I had mine removed Dec. 09. Your Dr. can test to see at what percentage it is working and let you know if it needs to go. Good luck!
1) VERY gassy--feels like I'm blown up like a balloon.....worse after something fried or dairy, or if I eat a few bites too much
2) Friday was the first time I had pain under my right ribs-not excrutiating, but very uncomfortable-it took the whole weekend before I felt "better"
3) Clay colored stool (gross I know, but it is a symptom, and I wondered why that was happening!)
So far, this is what is going on....and it was infrequent, like maybe every 3 weeks....but now I'm noticing it more.......I'll go and get it checked when I get back--I promise!
Kim
I am sorry you are hurting. I had ONE gallbladder attack and scheduled surgery as soon as I possibly could. I did not want to ever go through that again. I thought I was dying. I had my laparoscopic cholecystectomy on February 4, which was on a Thursday, and went back to work on Monday. My job requires a lot of sitting and no lifting. I also had a 5-month-old baby that I took care of completely by myself.
I hope you feel much better and have no symptoms on your vacation.
Kim
