Still too hot to breathe outside so I decided to exercise in the basement last night....I did the two bonus workouts that came with P90X....I had never looked at them, and forgot they came with it.  They are not as hard as the regular workouts and it was a nice change of pace.  Today I'll head to the grocery after work then home to the AC!

Food today:

B-Chobani pineapple yogurt and 1 ww english muffin
S-Kashi bar
L-leftover grilled meat, and 1/2 cup Heathy Helper
S-watermelon
D-blackened salmon and fresh green beans

Dessert-Klondike NSA ice cream bar

Exercise will be weights....not sure which one yet....maybe arms/shoulders?  Usually I take off on Wednesdays, but I need the extra workout time, so I'll go ahead and do it.

Have a great day!

Good Morning!!! It is sooooo unbearably hot today. I tell myself i will exercise but i dont and havent. Tonight we DONT have ball but ive got errands to run. Im still gonna aim for the elliptical tonight. hopefully i'll walk by that room and actually go in. LOL. I too am going to Publix not for grocery groceries but i need more cottage cheese at home! and i'll probably get some california veggies because im going to start eating grilled chicken(or some meat) and veggies for lunch.

Today i wont have enough calories, not even 800 but dont really know what to change because the fear of eating out somewhere rules me.

b-1/2 c (not exactly, a lil short) cottage cheese, slice of tomato, chobani blueberry yogurt.
l-cottage cheese and tomato
s-protein shake
d-sliced ham and stick of cheese
s-protein shake

So i have made changes LOL. I will have chef salad for lunch and cottage cheese and tomato for dinner. that'll up my calories sum but hopefully keep me in line every where else. we'll see im about to go plug it in.

B:  Rice Chex cereal with NF milk
L:   Grilled Chicken Wrap with no sauce and unsweet tea from McD's
D:   Here is the hard part.   Michael is doing a fish fry tonight for a couple of friends from work.....his menu is fried fish, fried french fries, and fried pickles..... don't know what to do.  I have been staying away from fried foods.  they kill my stomach....but I don't want to be a ***** either....thinking I will eat one piece of fish, and going to have some veggies and dip with it.
S:   Probably a couple of Green Apple Smirnoff''s.....feel like I could already use a drink!

The drink idea sounds good!  I can't wait until Friday for my dirty martinis!!

Yeah, fried stuff just doesn't like me either....I get a carb coma everytime I eat it.....can he put some fish aside for you to pan fry or bake??

I got home yesterday and waited until 6:30 to mow the yard.  It was still at least 100 degrees but I couldn't stand the thought of Leo doing it during the day.  I wonder if he knows how much I love him.

B - scrambled egg w/cheese
S - skipped it
L - a little bit of pasta salad, a little bit of dip (we had a baby shower for one of the girls)
S - not sure
D - not sure

Feeling kind of yuk today.  I think I got into more than grass last night.  I can't stop coughing and my eyes are swollen.  Sounds like allergies.

Kim,

Did you start the P90X before you started losing weight or after?  I have torn ligaments in my left foot, and I am wondering if I can do it.  What do you think?  Can big girls do P90X?  LOL   LOL    :O)

I wanted coffee so bad yesterday.  My youngest said...MAMA!!! NO COFFEE!!!  I said, "Yes ma'am" and turned and went back to my office.

Thanks,

Hey Kim G.

I'm not Kim, but I am going to reply to your post. I began Curves before my surgery and lost about 40 pounds and did feel better. I have just begun the P90X and in my honest opinion I could not have done it at my weight before surgery. I was over 300 pounds. I am doing the lean program which is the easiest of the programs. It ain't easy.
I have been working out with a personal trainer for several months and I am at my goal weight and size. I'm a size 6 and my weight stays between 149 and 155. There are moves in the P90X that I can't do. I do my best, but some of the moves are not pretty.
If it were me, I would begin with something easier, such as Curves to get started in the exercise realm unless you have been working out for sometime.
Kim might have a different opinion. I just wanted to chime in. Of course, I'm 55 so that might make a difference. You are much younger.
Good luck no matter what you decide. Keep us posted.

Hey Kim!  NNNOOOO--I didn't start P90X until 3 months ago after 18 months of regular cardio and weight training.  It is NOT for starters.  For starting out, try Power 90 by beachbody.com.  There is a level one  and two and they show modified and advanced moves on each one.  You'll also learn several of the moves that are in P90X.  I recommend you be in pretty good physical form before P90X.  I've been doing it for 3 months now and can do 95% of the moves (couldn't do many when I started!) and it STILL kicks my butt!

Hope this helps, and I am so proud of you for thinking about your fitness needs....it is critical to long term success!
