As I ponder my last 8 years as a WLS post op, I can only thank the good Lord for giving me that second chance at living.  My life has been transformed totally, not only physically, mentally, but spiritually as well.  I have gained so much strength, love and happiness in these past 8 years.  Only the Lord could give me all that I have.  I've gained a wonderful happy family, that has been transformed right along with me.  My husband got saved just a year after, (7 years ago) and that has been one of the biggest accomplishments ever.  I have maintained my weight within a 20 pound radius of my lowest weight and that same weight goes up and down religiously.....but I am still a HUGE success from where I was when I started this process and I will continue to battle my weight for as long as I live.  My tool still works if I work it right.    Good luck to all of you on the rollercoaster ride called WLS.  It's incredible, just keep on keeping on......

Thanks to all of those on her that have have supported me during all that I've gone through.  I love you all and am blessed to call many of you my friends.

Love,

Elle

Congratulations Elle!!!        I'll be coming up on my 8 years in October.  I'm still thrilled with where I am today compared to 8 years ago.

We haven't seen any pictures in quite a while of that precious baby.  I guess he's not a baby anymore.  Any new pics you can share??

Love,
DebbieDoo

Congrats to you too Debbie.  You have been though so much and are such a real trooper.  You have been an inspiration to so many here.

You can find LOTS of pictures of my precious grandson on my FB page.  Just add me and you can see them.  He will be 3 in November.  He looks like a 4 yr old already.  He's 40 inches tall and 36 lean and mean pounds. :)

Love, Loretta

Congratulation.  I am coming up on 7 years in a few days also.  I do consider myself a success.  I have only regained a few pounds and have lost those and maintain a size 6.  It is just amazing to me that when we follow our doctors orders and do as they say we can lose the weight and keep it off.

You've done an amazing job as well Louise.  Yes, if we just follow the rules, the weight will come off.  What suprises me the most is seeing newbies that start out on the wrong foot as soon as they get home from the hospital.  You will see so many that FAIL by not complying with the rules of the pouch.  I just left the hair dresser and one of the ladies there has gained all plus some more weight back.  It's so distressing to see someone go thru all the trouble of having this procedure done , just to NOT follow the rules and gain it all back.  It just breaks my heart.  For every one that gains all their weight back, there are hundreds more waiting in the wings to have their surgery done and what a wait it can be for some.  It's just so sad.
