I sill wear an XL in some items but I don't mind. I know that if I keep doing what I'm supposed to I can get rid of them forever. My mind set is not where it should be yet. It's like Paul said in the Bible, The things I want to do, I don't do and the things I don't want to do, I do them. We're human and we make mistakes. But the good thing is I don't dwell on my mistakes, I choose to learn from them and try to correct them. I may have to correct them ten or twenty times but I'm working on it.
You are going to love the new you!!!
You are going to love the new you!!!
Debbie, we are all a work in progress! Each of us has to keep our eye on the prize, but it is also important to love yourself before and during the process. If you don't love yourself now, you wont love yourself when your butt is smaller.
Ladies, you are all fantastic, beautiful women regardless of the TAGS IN YOUR CLOTHES! You need to repeat that to yourselves until you believe it. I can truly say that self confidence and self love were not an issue for me--ever--regardless of my weight. I learned early in life that I had to love me the way I am and if someone else doesn't, then they need to get out of my path. This attitude really helped me on my WLS journey and continues to keep me going.
Try to find ways to love you--this process is hard--not impossible, but HARD. And it will be for the rest of our lives. Like I said, the only thing that happens when you lose weight, is you lose weight. Your life isn't going to magically change--only you can change the parts you don't like--and you can do that fat or thin. Yes, your health will improve (if you use the tool correctly). Any other changes you desire will have to be brought on by you--with hard work and determination, the sky is the limit--but it all starts with loving the work in progress!!
