Do you still dump and what causes it???

I've said it before but I thought it would make a good post.  I still dump when I eat some foods.  I've noticed that chicken and pork are the worse culprits but even rice can do it.  I also find that I have to eat slowly or else I will feel like food is getting stuck.  Sometimes I have to run to the toilet to get the food back up  and then other times I can just sit real still and it will subside in about 10 minutes.  I can always tell if it's a sitter or a runner.  hehe

Now there are times when chocolate will do this to me but the majority of the time, sweets just break me out in a sweat or make me go nighty night for about 15 minutes.  Sometimes my heart feels like it is racing away with me.

What foods cause you to dump or feel badly?

I've never dumped....but I don't pu**** with carbs or sugar....I'm too scared!  I have had a "carb coma" a few times when trying fried foods--literally had to put my head down and go to sleep--so I stay away from fried stuff now.

Kim, you sound like the poster child for WLS and I mean that in an absolutely good way.  I started out doing everything by the book but after 4 years I started going back to old habits.  It's all in the brain I do believe.  I have to work every day at doing right.  I'm very proud of you and your success.  Keep it up!!!!

I am only 8 months out, but lemme tell you!!!!  Carb coma's can be both a pain in the arse and a godsend.  It is hell when it happens and soooooooo keeps me in check.  No yacking, no foamies(yet), but I do "dump" I get all sweaty, racing heart, weak, when I eat too much or too many carbs.

I will live each day in the mindful present

I had one of those dumping spells last night.  It was a doozy too.  I hurt for about 10 minutes and then my heart started pumping faster.  I was alone and thought for sure - "It's the big one".  LOL  Fortunately I made it to the bathroom and after a few rounds of  and , I was feeling much better.  I did have to go lie down for about 10 minutes then I was good to go.

Carbs is our enemy and yet how many times do we invite him in.

I still dump and am 2.5 years out.  I have never vomitted....don't think I physically can.
If I eat too much sugar/carbs I get that sluggish, miserable, sweaty, let me sleep feeling.
If I eat something wih too much fat or grease or dairy products, I get a really sick feeling in my stomach and have to lay down for about 20 min.
HOnestly, I am glad I dump.....it keeps me on track!  If I didn't dump, I would probably cheat on my diet.....it is a wonderful deterrent!
