So I'm hitting the gym at least 3 times a week and working out for no less than 30 minutes and not more than an hour.    I've seen some weight loss but not nearly enough.  BUT, I love the feeling that working out gives me.  I go into work with a spring in my step and I feel so good until about 2:00.      When 2:00 comes around I start dragging.  What's up with that????  I tried one of those 5 hour energy drinks last week and yep, it worked but talk about wired up.  Sheesh, I can't go around here like that again.  I was hyper.  I was talking so fast till I was mixing up thoughts and words.  I couldn't keep my feet still when I was sitting.  It was funny but not something I care to do again.  I tried that new drink - I think it's called Dience or something like that and it seems to help.

What do you to to keep from dragging???

That is about the time of day I eat my Greek yogurt.  I find by eating 6x a day my energy level stays pretty even.  Oh, and I always have my afternoon coffee around 2 or 3!

I never thought about the eating approach.  I do drink coffee in the afternoons.  Sometimes it help and sometimes it doesn't.

I'll take another look at what you eat.

THANKS!!!

Hi Debbie.  When do you go to the gym?  I am thinking of joining our local gym for ladies.  I don't know if it is extensive enough to help with the weight loss.  I think it is more like Curves.  I guess it is a start.

I have that afternoon slump also when I work.  I actually have some Hershey Kisses in my desk drawer.  I know that is not good advice for me nor you but I do have them.  I bought some protein bars to take to work with me for the afternoon snack.  I just hope I can eat them.  I am not much on protein bars or shakes.  Did you read the posts from Vickie yesterday?  She did the 5 day pouch test and returned to shakes.  She said she is having success since she started the shakes again.  I may have to give it a try again.

Have a good day and be blessed my friend!!!

I go to the gym first thing every morning.  They open at 6:00 and I work out until 6:45, take a shower and make it to work in plenty of time.  I try to go back in the afternoons on Monday and Tuesday.  I can stay about an hour then.  I tried Curves but it just didn't work for me.  I know it does for some people but I have so much work that needs to be done.  LOL

I tried chocolate in the afternoons but my problem is that I don't know when to stop.  I don't do well with protein shakes.  Just not appetizing AT ALL!!  I might try some peanut butter today and see how that does.  I'll let you know.

I love you my friend!!

Caffeine is my best friend  :-)

And when possible......listen to your body and take a cat nap!  Maybe you need the rest..........

I have done the cat nap's before but they seem to leave me drained.  I'm thinking about upping the caffeine.  Maybe 2 cups of coffee - one at 1:30 and  the other at 2:00.  I'll see if that helps today.

One of the girls in my office told me to take a power walk on my lunch break.  I just hate to get all sweaty.  Maybe I could do it inside.  We have a second floor that I could walk around.

Debbie ,
Have an apple with peel on, if you can eat the peel, along with a tablespoon of peanutbutter,,, IT will raise your bloodsugar in a good way and keep it there or have a string cheese with it ...Works everytime for me ..
