Wow Moment

I am moving to Auburn, AL and was there looking at apartments.  The manager at a brand new apartment complex wanted to give me a t-shirt and asked me what size I wanted.  I thought about it for a few seconds and said that I would take a large.  She instantly held up the large and said, "Look how big the large is.  Are you sure you don't want a medium?"  I was SHOCKED, but quickly said, "Sure, I will take a medium."  Now, I know that I have not worn a medium in over 25 years and it fits!

Medium....(big sigh)....you give me hope for the future!

I don't think I was EVER a "medium"! Even as a child I was very overweight.

I can't imagine what it would be like to have someone say that to me! Congrats on such a victory It truly is!

Do you live in the Auburn area?  If so, where is the closest support group  meeting? 

Yes, I do live in Auburn. I haven't figured that out yet either. I know there are lots of folks in the area that have had WLS of some type. I think there would be enough for a group meeting easily! It's just that I don't know if there already is one. I'll have to ask some folks I know and perhaps between that and this message board, we'll find one!
