William O. Richards - Mobile, AL

Hello, I was just looking for information on this dr.  Did you use him and what was your experience?  Which WLS did you have?  Thanks and have a blessed day.

Hi Kelly.  I have never heard of this Dr.  I had my surgery in Mobile 6 years ago.  My Dr. was William Lightfoot.  He no longer does WLS.  He is a general surgeon. 
Are you from Mobile?  I live about 1 1/2 hours north of Mobile in Chatom.  I hope  you come back often and we can get to know you.
Hope you find info about this Dr. if he is the one you choose.

Thanks for replying to my post!  I am not in the Mobile area, I am in NW Alabama actually, but I can't find drs closer to me that take Medicaid.  So I just wanted to find out more about Dr. Richards.  I think he moved to Mobile from Nashville TN and I've actually found reviews on him on his surgeon page, just not anything really recent.    His move must have been fairly recent.   I may post this on the TN board too.
I have been on this site for quite a while but usually stay on the VSG site to learn more about that surgery since it is my first choice.   I do way more reading than posting since I haven't had surgery yet.  I have learned so much from these message boards.   You will probably see me around more often.

I Don't know Dr. Richards but just wanted to say hello. I had my surgery (RNY) in October of 2004 with Dr. Steven Weinstein at Surgical Associates of Mobile, located at Mobile Infirmary.

You used to post a lot if I recall.  If I am remembering you right it seems you were always very supportive of everyone.  So, you've never had your surgery?  How have you been?  I hope you can have your surgery with one of the doctors you are asking about.  If you do come to Mobile to have your surgery, let us know and we can come by and check on you while you are here.  Debbie. Little Ladybug and I are good friends and maybe that would be a good excuse for us to get together!! (Do you hear me Debbie?)  Sorry...I shouldn't have used you to harrass Debbie, but we've been having a hard time getting together for the past several months and I couldn't resist.  LOL

Good luck finding the right doctor.  I hope the Tennessee board can share some insight into Dr. Richards.  Keep us updated and welcome back to the Bama Board!
