Passports for the boat ride...

I am having to change my last name on my passport due to divorce. It is $75 for the book but only like $20 for the card that they have now. I would prefer the card over the book... does anyone else have the card? And can I use the card for Mexico? I know the book is necessary for international travel. Anyone have any ideas???? It's a big price difference and much rather not have to spend so much. Does anyone know for sure?  Thanks!

Hi Karine.  We had the passport cards.  They work just fine as long as you  don't fly out of the US.  They are fine for the boat ride.  I am glad you are going.  We are not going to be able to make it this year.  My job throws kinks in my plans.  I will enjoy it through the pictures and comments from my friends.
