When did I quit being a teenager???

Well actually a long long time ago, but I took my granddaughter to Six Flags yesterday. Need I say more? Of course we rode all the roller coasters, cause that is what you do when you go there. The newer ones were much more smoothe than the older coasters. Those old ones really jerk a body around. Chiropracter anyone? Needless to say I'm sore. It's a good sore. We had wonderful weather, there was not a crowd, and I fit into all the rides. It was a GREAT day spent with my granddaughter. It was her first trip so that was a good experience for her too.

Hope everyone has a good day!!!

SOunds like a ton of fun!
I had a period in my life where I had quit having fun.......and just existing.
After I have had WLS I am out enjoying life at every opportunity!  I love being active, traveling, and meeting new people.  Just can't get enough of it.  lol
Thanks for sharing and glad you had a blast.

It is amazing the quality of life we have after WLS!  You forget how much fun you used to have (for those that were thinner at some point in the past).  I haven't tried the roller coasters yet--I know I'll now fit, just haven't had the oppotunity yet, and I do love them--that is on my short list!

Unfortunately weight loss didn't help my fear of heights.  I'll stand and watch everyone else having a good time!!  But at least now I can get out and walk away the pounds!!!

Hi Vickie!!!  I know you had such a good time.  Jimmy and I took our grands to Dollywood last year.  I did not ride  the big boy rides because they were 8 and 6.  But they have some pretty good rides for little kids.  I crawled on there with them and fit!!!  Six years ago I would not have even been able to walk through the park much less ride anything.  Ain't life good????

There is nothing like those grand!!!

Have a good one.

I remember in October 2003 when I was still pre-op we took our son (14 at the time) to Wild adventures in Ga.  I wanted to ride the rides with him, but I was so afraid that the safety bars would not hold him in place if we sat together.  I ended up watching from the ground.  That was a final straw I knew I HAD TO HAVE THIS PROCEDURE!

glad you had a good time!

Thanks Lisa,

Last time I was there, I was too big to ride some of the rides. I had to get off several of them. I was so embarrassed. This time there were no worries of being too heavy.

It was super fun.
