Out of town

Wooo Hooooo!!  Leo and I just got back from a much needed mini vacation.  We headed down to Hattiesburg, MS for a day or two and then stopped at Dolphin Island for a quick tour of Ft. Gaines and then ate at a neat little restaurant right on the water.  The prices were more than reasonable and we sat outside and enjoyed some blues music with our food.  I wish I had some of that fish now!!!  We then made our way to Mobile to visit the USS Alabama.  Sorry I didn't call anyone but I didn't have the computer or phone #'s with me.  We had a mahvelous time and even got to rest a whole day before work. 

We did see the booms in place and at Dolphin Island they had an area sat aside and roped off for BP - guarded by MANY police.  I'd like to say a word or two to BP myself.  We didn't see any oil but just to think about it heading our way is soooo sad.  We were surprised at how few people we saw for a holiday weekend.  No lines anywhere and the traffic was pretty normal to me. 

Well, I did miss everyone and I'm glad to be back online and to see people posting.  I love you all very much and am so thankful to have you in my life.

Glad you got to see it one more time before it is destroyed.  I'm from New Orleans and cannot even fathom how our beautiful Gulf Coast is going to be permanently destroyed by this mess.

Sounds like ya'll had a great time.  This oil fiasco is AWFUL!  I keep thinking about the ecolgical damage that will have devestating results for years to come!  Still it looks like no solution is in sight!
