Good Morning Bama Board!!!!!
You are right. I used to get all riled up when someone opposed me about my salvation. It took a wise old saint of God to teach me that my arguing did nothing for God. It really only caused more hurt and problems. Now I live my testimony. I want to be the same person in Walmart, at work or on stage. It is an everyday job.
Tell Mr. Leo hello from the Roberts family and we love you!!!!
I LOVE YOUR LITTLE SIGNATURE!
I miss you and I admit I was one of the people who walked away! I am back and I want to encourage some of the newbies....How....Hope...I want them to see that we can maintain and lose weight and stay healthy! So here I am !
It's great to see you! Let's hang out here and get this party hopping!
Blessings,
Lisa
Hi Kim!
This board was once a "HOPPIN" Board....It was hard to get in a word sometimes.....we loved to chatter with each other. There were some very important friendships and bonds created on here. It can and WILL be again!
Post something today that interests you! Let's encourage each other!
Blessings,
Lisa
Had my 5 1/2 year checkup today (somehow I got offtrack and missed an appointment and had to reschedule a couple of times...anniversary date is 10/11). Anyway, Dr.Weinstein said I was probably where I was going to stay. He seemed pleased with me being 185 lbs. I went from 309 to 150 to 218 to 175-185. I flucuate about 10 lbs. I am on the high side right now. Great challenge...especially #3!
I haven't done OH or FB except to play WordDrop on FB lately and fall asleep while playing!! LOL Good to see you posting and maybe we will all come back in dribs and drabs and who knows, one day it may come back to life (the bama board that is).
It's late so i will go and say hi to Debbie and Debbie!!! LOL

As long as you age getting your labs done I don't think there is a reason to see your surgeon except that mine likes to keep up with his patients for record keeping. He has done papers on the results of his patients after surgery. I have never paid a co-pay until these last two visits. I kind of felt I was paying a co-pay for his benefit so i don't know that I will make the next annual check up myself. He did help when I had weight gain issues by sending me to a psychologist. I do not see the same one now, but it did get the ball rolling and it has helped me with the head issues I had not dealt with. I think it is up to the WLS Post op and the Surgeon and what kind of relationship they have and what kind of motivation the surgeon gives and the patient needs. Does that make sense? Keep up the good work and thanks for being here to keep the Bama Board alive and kicken' for us!! Love ya!
I still lurk here from time to time. i really am not sure what I would have done without the Alabama Board support when I started this journey. I appreciate all of you so much--and I do play on FB now--cause I am a gamer, but there is not much Baritricc support there. i along with others tried to keep this board going, but you can only hit your head on a brick wall so many times before it hurts to much to continue to do it. I will be by from time to time though. I have lost 197 pounds since April 14, 2009. Can not begin to tell you the difference it has made in my life. Still about 15 pounds from my original goal.
