David had many things happen in his life that could have caused him to turn from God. However, he truly was a man after God's own heart. God will turn what we think is our greatest hurts into joy, if we let Him. He will turn our sorrow into happiness, if we let Him. He will turn our sadness into gladness, if we let Him. If is used most of the time when there is a promise. God does not enter into situations uninvited and will not be 2nd in charge. We must invite Him to take total control, move back from the wheel and give Him total control, no matter how long it takes or what it takes. After many years of my trying to help God out, I finally realized, He never needed my help....I needed Him.
