Wednesday Hugs

We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield.   In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name.  (Psalm 33:21-22)

I have so many times had a hard time doing what this tells us to do..."wait in hope for the Lord".  We must trust in Him if we want results from Him.  All too often, I have wanted results from God, but when He did not answer right away, I turned to my own results, usually making a mess.  Or I sat and grumbled, doubted and even got mad.  However, as I have learned to "wait in hope", things always turn out better.  This does not mean to wait doubting, grumbling, mad, angry, etc.  It means to wait in hope...just as it says.  We should have a good attitude, one of praise and worship as we wait.  Hope is defined as "to look forward to with desire and  confidence."  Therefore, we are to ask, and then wait with desire and confidence that what we have asked, if we are truly believing will be done.
