Tuesday hugs!!
Sending hugs on this wonderful Tuesday morning!!! You all have a great great day. I love y'all!!!
I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber...(Psalm 121:1-3)
Isn't it wonderful to KNOW that the Lord is there always to watch over us and help us. One thing that I lost sight of was that I should do what I am capable of doing. Once I have done all I can do, God will do the rest. I am not speaking of controlling a situation, but rather, doing our part. All too often, we get depressed, sit down and give up. We may say "somethings got to change" but how is that going to happen? We have to take initiative to cause a change. It will not just happen. I have to get up off my bottom and clean the house, even when I don't feel like it, clean the yard up when I don't want to, bite my tongue when I really want to say something because someone has hurt me or offended me (which is self-pride), etc. When I need to take control over a situation, I can choose to sit back and say "ok, God, help me here", or I can get up, do what I can and then say "God, I have done everything that I am capable of doing, now this is in your hands." When our babies began to walk, we did not walk for them, we allowed them to fall, to take those steps, to build those muscles until they could walk and then run. Just as our weight loss...wouldn't it be nice if we just lost weight and never had to think about it again. If we did, we would not be able to help anyone on a weight loss journey. We always have a road to take in any situation so that when someone else begins going down that same road, we might be able to understand and offer help. Let's get up, do what we can do and then God will do the rest.
