Dr. Mailapur

Dr. Mailapur in Huntsville is THE BOMB!  I had my surgery on December 28th, 2009 and have had no complications whatsoever.  I'm down 55%.  I will be turning 40 in July and feel better today than I did at 30!  I was taking four shots of insulin a day (almost 400 units) and am currently down to one shot per day (20 units).  Hopefully by the end of next month I will be off insulin shots completely!  I feel FABULOUS and have so much more energy than I have in years.  I honestly did not know how bad I felt until I started feeling so much better!  I highly recommend Dr. Mailapur..he and his office staff have been so kind and helpful.

If you do not mind me asking,  what surgery did you chose? I have been looking in to Dr. Malipur.  Also, does he do surgery at Huntsville or Creswood Hospital?  Thanks,

I have heard good things about him.....I do know several people who have used him and had excellent results. (RNY)

He does surgery exclusively at Huntsville Hospital.

Dr. M is wonderful! He did my band as well as several other friends bypass and band as well. I found him to be very caring but he expects his patients to work and lose weight. He doesn't take to excuses!

After alot of research, I chose bypass.  I do not regret it at all..Dr. Malipur only does his surgeries at Huntsville Hospital.  They were wonderful too!

You are right. He is the BOMB!!  What I love is not only is he a great surgeon, his aftercare is right-on.  If you have any problems, which I hope you don't, you are in good hands.  Some surgeons treat us kind of like cattle.  They want to do the surgery, but if we have problems, they don't want to fool with us.  Congrats on your great weight loss and improvement in health!  Keep it up!!
