Thursday Hugs
Sending out hugs on this beautiful Thursday morning. I am planning to go to Holy Week Service at lunch today. They are wonderful services. The 1st UMC has had them all week. I love the way that they allow all denominations to come in each day and talk, sing and just worship. After all, no matter what we "claim" to be as far as denominations, if we have accepted the One True Savior, we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. You all have you a great great day today.
Jesus Christ....gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us form every lawless deed. (Titus 2:13-14)
When we approach the promises of God, we must always remember that His ultimate purpose for our lives is to conform us into the image of Jesus Christ. God wants us to have the same relationship with Him that Christ had....a close intimate relationship, so that we do only what the Father directs and all that we do is for His glory. Jesus relied totally on God the Father for direction, wisdom, sustenance, provision, and power. Jesus drew His identity solely from God. That is what our Father desires for us.
