Hey Jan. I had to take the tablets (from wally world) and they made me nauseated. My Dr. said they or any kind would be ok. Eventually, they tried to put me on liquid iron and that really didn't work!! SICK! YUCK! BLAH! LOL Now, I take a multi and I'm happy. My levels are ok. I went to the Dr. yesterday and I'm at the same weight and my levels that were up 7 months ago (bad) were down. I'm glad the multi works for me. Just try one of the better ones at Wal-Mart or the gummy iron. If you need to, call your Dr. and ask. Hope I have helped. Have a great day!

Thanks, Randall , I take a multi, but its not enough,so I might check on the gummy iron.

Hi Jan,

I take the Bariatric Advantage 18 mg Strawberry flavored chewables. My doctor had prescribed iron for me and my insurance did not covered it. I pay $21.95 for a 90 day supply. The prescription was like $27 or something like that for a 30 day supply and they were not chewable and didn't taste good!

I feel comfortable taking Bariatric Advantage because they are formulated just for us. My iron levels are great! I hope this helps.

Hi Jan. I'm with Connie. I use the Bariatric Advantage chewable. But I take the 29 mg. It's some kind of fruit flavor and tastes good. They don't give me any kind of trouble at all.

I got some Bariatric Advantage iron at the pharmacy at St Vincents East, but I think its cheaper to order online, I just needed something now!
I didn't get the 29, but I might next time, if this does not work for me, got to get some energy!
