Sending out hugs on this beautiful Palm Sunday.  This begins the week that commemorates the greates sacrifice ever made...the one Christ made for us.  You all have a great great day!!!  Love you all!!!

and when the Lord your God has delivered them over to you and you have defeated them, then you must destroy them totally.  (Deuteronomy 7:16)

Moses was speaking about the nations that God would drive out to allow the Israelites to go in and take over in this passage.  However, I think that often, these verses speak in many different ways.  As I read this, it dawned on me that God removes things from our lives.  Unfortunately, all too often, I will allow one to hang on or go and pick it back up.  Once He has delivered us from anything, including a food addiction, we are to leave it alone.  I was seriously addicted to Hershey's with almonds prior to WLS.  I know that if I ever begin eating those again, I would be in big trouble.  There are some who can eat a tiny piece of chocolate in moderation, unfortunately, I am not one of those so I have tototally leave this alone.  I cannot decide to just have a small piece because I know that would destroy me.   I have been delivered from this.  It is defeated.   I must destroy all thoughts, desires and wants to allow this back into my life.

Hugs back to you on this beautiful Palm Sunday night Carmen.  This has been a strange weekend for me.  I went to sleep around midnight Friday night and slept straight through 'til midnight Saturday night.  I had a couple of awake moments off and on during the night last night and I've slept off and on all day today.

This has been a very stressful week with alot of overtime working on our budget forour office and I haven't slept well during the week.  I slept with my laptop in my lap and it was on the whole time.

Wow...weird last couple of days.  I'm going to try to get to sleep now so I can get up and get in early.  Our Secretary has jury duty this week so I have to work on this financial stuff and the budget while answering the phone and taking care of the people coming in to check out books, etc...

Please pray for me.  I have to get this done in a couple of days!!

Have a beautiful week.  Enjoy this Holy, of holy weeks!!

Christ lives...He died for you and me and He rose again and defeated sin!!!  This is the week we commemorate that as you stated in your post.  It is a very special week in the Catholic Church, especially.  I love you and appreciate your hugs!!!  Here's a big one for you from me!!

Christ's peace,

Wow Connie...you did sleep.  Maybe you got some much needed rest.  You know, I am not Catholic, but I have many many dear Catholic friends and I love what y'all do this week.  I think that it expresses so much love.  I had a boss once who was Catholic and she explained to me each day what was going on and I thought it was awesome!!!  We can learn so much from each other.  I honestly believe that is why there are so many different denominations....to teach us things that we do not see.  We may not go to the same church, but we all worship the same Lord.  That is what matters the most.  You have you an awesome Holy week.  I plan to.  Our Savior gave up everything for us.  WOW...I cannot even begin to understand, but I am so glad He loved me that much.  I love you, Connie!!!!!
