Good morning all!  It's been a while and hope everyone is doing well.  I've just been busy with life!!!  lol

I have a pouch question.  I know that you can stretch the pouch by overeating but does it shrink back to the post op size if you diet?  I had gained 30 pounds over the last three years and started dieting again and have now lost 20 of that in the last month.  I have no appetite now - just like post op, so I was just wondering what ya'lls opinion is?

Thanks
Shanon

Hello Shanon. I'll be glad to hear this also. The only time i ever feel restriction is if i do the 5day pouch test about once a month.

may i ask how you've lost those 20 lbs? what "diet" are you doing? ive been trying since the first of February to lose and i lose 10, gained back 4.
This journey has been one hard road, one that we'll have to keep uphill climbing for the rest of our lives!

Thanks for coming back and sharing with us!

I've gone back to high protein and very little carbs.  About 20 carbs a day and most of those would be from a good source like veggies.  I've completely eliminated bread, pasta, diet soft drinks - it started out as the Atkins diet but I started taking Cymbalta for anxiety and have completely lost my appetite and am barely eating anything at all.  That's why I was wondering if the pouch would shrink back up.

Shanon,  I've always thought it would shrink back some, just like our old stomach did when we'd go on a diet.  Good luck girl.  i'M TRYING to get rid of a 15 pound weightgain, myself.
