Approval by BCBS of AL?

About 2 or 3 days after my surgeons office submitted my paperwork I called to make sure they recieved it. That is when I found out that I was approved and about a week to 10 days later I got the letter for proof. Would not hurt to call BCBS. I too have BCBS but of Illinois.
I am 6wks out and it has been a great journey so far! Good luck to you!

Jane...wanted to say congrats. I am sooo excited for you.
I also have BC/BS of AL & will finish up my visits with my PCP on May 19th. I was wondering myself how long it would take for approval. I am glad to know it won't take that long. I am hoping to have surgery sometime in June.

I too had bcbs/al. My surgeons office submitted everything electronicly, I literally had approval within 10 minutes! Check to see if the insurance still accepts electronic records. If so, ask your office if they will submit that way. Best of luck!!
