Tuesday Hugs
Sending out hugs on this awesome Tuesday morning. You all have a great great day!!!! I love y'all!!!
"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these." (Mark 12:29-31)
You know, I am learning. I was thinking about how society (the world) expects me to be and what I expect of others. Then it dawned on me...I am to expect nothing of others. We are told right here that the greatest command is that first, we love the Lord with everything in us. Second, we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. I have been guilty of not doing either. I have had expectations. People have expectations of me. However, I am learning that I am just to love, not to expect. Once I do this, a load is taken off my shoulders because I do not have to concern myself with anyone's actions, dress, attitude, or anything else. If I show them the love of Jesus, that is all I am suppose to do. The rest is up to them. My problem is that all too often, I get in myself and show people Carmen instead of Christ. My prayer is that I will become less and less and He will become more and more.
