Saturday Hugs
Sending out hugs on this beautiful Satuday morning. You all have a great great day. I love y'all!!
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
We are told not to be anxious (nervous, impatient, etc) about anything. But we are to present our requests to God. Now...I have to admit that I have read this passage over and over and over throughtout my life, but not until recently really understood it. We are to present these requests, no matter what, or how bad we think our lives are, with thanksgiving, just as Job did after losing everything he owned, and he owned alot. Job was a very wealthy man and lost all of his material possessions, and his children. His friends turned on him and his wife, who should have been his biggest supporter, told him to curse God and die. After he had lost it all, he prayed and petitioned God "in worship"...not in anxiousness, not in fear, but in worship. When we go to God in worship, we get His attention. He loves praises. When we have situations arise, we should go to Him in worship and sit back and watch the miraculous workings of our Lord.
