Hugs on a beautiful Sunday morning!!!
Sending out hugs on this awesome Sunday morning. I am planning to have a great day today. Going to church, class, then home for a bit and then tonight, we have a special speaker. I am so excited about the things God has in store for us today. You all have a great great day today whether it be in church, at home, or whever you are. Just relax and enjoy the gifts from the Lord. I love y'all!!!!
For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever. (Psalm 30: 5 and 11-12)
Have you ever had something hit you so hard that you just did not know what to do? There have been times when I thought to myself, "well, God, this is it, it just cannot get any worse." However, once I began doing as David did and rejoicing in the goodness of God and stopped dwelling on the present cir****tance, things got better. No, it is not easy to rejoice when you cannot pay your bills, or your child is on drugs, or something horrible has happened in your life. We do wail and we do cry. God gave us those emotions. But He also filled us with joy so that during those times, we are able to know that He is there with us, leading us through. He does turn our wailing into dancing. He has clothes us with joy. It is great to be on the mountain tops. There is only one problem with that. If we stay there, nothing grows. I lived in Utah many years ago. When I would go to the resort on the top of the mountain, there was nothing there but snow and rock. Nothing grew up there. It was pretty, but there was nothing growing. However, we could go back to the valley, and there was beautiful flowers, plants and trees. The mountain tops are fantastic, but we grow in the valleys. We are told very strongly in Philippians 4:4 what to do: Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
