Dr. Andrew Dewitt

I am looking into a lap-band to sleeve revision and i am self-pay. I just came across someone who had VSG with him on the VSG board and figured I would post on the Alabama board to see how people liked him. I attempted to look at his website but it says it has closed down. Is he still doing bariatrics? I did find an office number which I will call. I live in Tennessee and was planning on traveling to Texas, but if there is an excellent doctor in Alabama who is also affordable I will take him! LOL.

Call Dr. DeWitt he is an excellant surgeon.  I did not use him but have met him and know some of the girls from his office.  Stephanie is his bariatric coordinator and will be able to help you any way possible. You will not be sorry for stopping off in Ala and using Dr. DeWitt. 

Thanks. I live in Middle Tennessee and my sister lives in Birmingham so if he is as excellent as I have heard then I may go with him. Right now I am working with a doctor in Texas. I will defintiely go with my gut feeling but I am hopeful that Dewitt is the one.

Thanks. I hope to get more responses. you and an email I received about him was it. But he doesn't seem to have a big presence on OH. I also can't get his website to come up.

He did my RNY 3/28/09.  Love him and his staff.  You could not ask for a better Dr. or Staff.  I have not had one problem what so ever.  Best decision I ever made!  Call Him!!!  HIGHLY recommended to me by my presonal DR. and other Dr's in our area.
