If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. (Galatians 5:25)
The fruit of the Spirit should be shinig in us and demonstrated even when cir****tances and relationships take a turn for the worse. Unconditional love should be shining the brightest at that time. The reason for this is that the fruit of the Spirit is just that - it is fruit produced by the Spirit of God. It is not fragile. It is not subject to change. Its root is deeply embedded in the person of Christ. When we abide in Him and allow Him to live His life through us, the result is one of a character that will last through any challenge in life. We all mess up, but all we have to do is ask God to forgive us and He will. You will notice that this is singular fruit...you cannot walk in just one of the characteristics of the fruit of the Spirit....they all go hand in hand. Either we have them all or we have none. I have to admit, I miss the mark many many times. I am so thankful that my God is a forgiving God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23)
