Can you get insurance to pay for tummy tuck????
Yes some insurance will pay for a pannuculectomy. That is just the romoval of the excess skin that is hanging. Most insurance companies says that the skin has to hang low enough to cover the pubic area, that is when standing you will not be able to see the pubic area. Most want you to be at a stable weight for at least 6 months and some surgeons say wait at least a year from your WLS to do any plastic's. Call and talk with the plastic surgeon you are planning on using.
I will have to make this quick I've got to go back to work. My insuranceBCBS thru the school system paid every bit of mine except $200 for hospital admission. The denied it the first 2 times but then I talked to my doctor and this was what I did. I went to the doctor each month for 6 months. I complained of skin fold infection. That is the rashes under the belly(I'm telling you that like you don't know what it is but some people don't have the rashes) Each month she would prescribe different medications for it. Make sure you fill each and every prescription because the insurance company will check. I'm not telling you to use the meds or not. I'm telling you go back the next month with skin fold infections and get another med for it. I'm also telling you to make sure your doctor documents(extremely important)each time that you come in and that is for skin fold infections. After 6 months go to a plastic surgeon who does a lot of tucks on gastric bypass patieents(Dr. Siediel in Cullman is fantastic, he did mine. He did a full tummy tuck and just charged them for a panna)He he files the paperwork and you can prove you have been to the doctor each month with skin fold infections they will approve it.
I lost from 224 to 124. Then gained back to 155. He took 18 pounds of skin off over two years ago. I weigh 139 right now. I love my tummy tuck. Painfull, Lord yes, but so worth it. If you have any questions e-mail and I come home once a day and check my mail. I'll answer if I can. Love, Miss Mary
