Monday Hugs

David did not go from being a favorite person in the king's court to being king.  The Lord allowed David to be in exile for more than ten years while He refined him in leadership skills.  While in exile, David learned to trust God in all cir****tances.  He was on the run from Saul and often feared for his life.  Those years, the Lord used to refine competencies in David.  He made him an excellent statesman and great military commander as well as a compassionate leader and provider for his followers.
