Salty Stuff

I have been paying closer attention lately to sodium.  On most days, my sodium intake is waaaaay over what it should be.  Some of that was from drinking Diet Coke, so I cut that out (oh, the headaches) but today as I was tracking, I realized how much sodium is in fat free cottage cheese ... 400 mg a 1/2C!  Holy cow!  It just sneaks in everywhere, doesn't it?

What is your method for dealing with sodium?  Do you have a problem keeping it in line?

Janice...I never thought about this.  However, I am going to begin looking at the sodium content.  I know that that will make you retain fluid.  You have got me curious now to see how much I really take in.

Janice I was so surprised when I learned in nursing school how much sodium is in milk.   I never salt anything that I cook and have done it from the day I got married.  I might buy 1 box of salt ever 2 years.  My family is used to it and never notices.  I have been reading where sea salt is so much better for us.
