Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap. (Ecclesiates 11:4)
I have people tell me that they have prayed, but that God has not answered. My question back is...what are you doing. We pray and we ask God for things and to intervene in matters, but we forget sometimes that we are to carry on in spreading the Word and doing our part. Our blessings come not by sittng back and watching the world pass by, but in doing. We are blessed by carrying out the works of the Father and by spreading His Word. When I read this passage, I often think of my boys when they played little league baseball. They would be in the outfield, looking up into the sky, picking plants or looking at bugs on the ground. A ball would be hit right to them, but they would miss it because they were no****ching for it. Often I have missed blessings because I was looking into the clouds when I should have been paying attention. Many times we may find the answer to our prayers by talking with someone or even reading the Word.

((Momma))
This is so true. Sometimes God means for us to get up and DO!
That reminds me of the song "If We are the body"
But if we are the body
Why aren't His arms reaching?
Why aren't His hands healing?
Why aren't His words teaching?
And if we are the body
Why aren't His feet going?
Why is His love not showing them there is a way?
We need to be doing the reaching! We need to be moving those feet. Today are Pastor said it well when he said people are looking at Christians.. Kind of like when you buy a piece of jewerly and you want it to be "Real, Genuine Gold" but it's not it's fake. People don't want someone who is fake. They want the real thing!
They want to see the transformation.
I thought that was well said.
Tonight Jacob was thinking of what the wise men brought as their gift for Jesus and for the Twelfth night party each of the Youth need to think of a gift they would bring to Jesus. What may be valuable to one person might not be to another. But as I sit and listen to some of the gifts I am in awe of what they wish to give to him! I think this is a great way to end our Christmas season as we begin another year!
I love you so much Momma!
Thank you for sharing your blessings, hugs and scriptures. They always touch me!
