Newbie(surgery hopeful)

I have read all your communications with each other for months; and think it is great there is a place for people to learn from each others experiences. A place to vent, and comfort each other.
I have wanted to have WLS for several years now, but have suffered some set backs ( both personal and medical )
I'm going to my primary doctor, next wk. to be sure she's on board.Then I assume I can make my own appt. with the surgeon since I have Medicare..
I hope I can call on all of you, as things happen, and count on you to share your knowledge and humor since I have no friends, and only one of my grown children here in Bama. Everyone else is left behind in VA.

Welcome and Merry Christmas!  I am a semi-newbie too-7 months out today!  WLS is an amazing journey-I wish you well as you move forward.  This is the BEST board on the site-you came to the right place!
