Grandma at Fault

I received an email from a lawyer friend today, who has said that legally Grandma was at fault when she was run over by the reindeer.  It seems that under most state laws, the reindeer had the right of way and Grandma was negligent in maintaining a look out and was intoxicated which puts her at fautl.  Just thought that some of you Grandmas and other who might have worried about this touching Christmas ballad would want to get to the bottom of the issue.

There are lots of jokes about lawyers, but we still need them to help protect us in the legal system.  This one is no longer practicing law in the traditional sense.  He is an administrator in the Social Security Administration, and while he may be the one who denied someone else's disability, he is also the one that protected my retirement...so it is always a two way street.

There are always crooked lawyers, doctors who live off of getting people addicted, police who can be bought, teachers who molest children, counselors who sleep with their clients, pastors who are sexually inappropriate or steal money, etc. etc. etc.  But there are the majority of all of those that you never hear about, who are there to serve their community with jobs that others cannot or will not do.  We always have crooks, even in Presidents, and we always have silent heroes.
