Hi all ...
I had my surgery on Friday, and feeling pretty good so far. My scale is tempermental so it's hard to pinpoint exactly how much I've lost since I began my preop diet, but it seems like it's pretty close to about ten pounds -- mostly water, I'm pretty sure, but I'll take the loss anywhere I can :o)

Welcome to the Alabama board. There are lots of good folks here that have been at this many years that will be a good resource for advice and questions as you travel the WLS journey. They have helped me a lot. And before you know it you will have a new set of friends--yes you will get close to these folks if you participate.
Good luck--and I am mad at my scales right now. Sometimes they just don't tell the whole story.

Thanks for the big welcome! Y'all can call me "Dee" if you would like (I don't publish my real name on the Internet for safety reasons) and I'm about half way between Mobile and Montgomery.
I see a lot of you have used doctors in the Huntsville area. Has anyone used a surgeon in the Mobile area? Are any of you banded?

Welcome to the Bama Board. Better late than never?!?! LOL Congratulations on your surgery. 10lbs...that sounds good!
I live in Chickasaw which is in Mobile County and is just north of theCity of Mobile. I work in Downtown Mobile. My surgeon is Dr. L. Steve Weinstein...He is in the group Surgical Associates, located at 3 Mobile Infirmary Circle off Springhill Ave.
So you had lapband? I had open RNY. My 5 year anniversary was Oct 11 of this year. Hope to see you come here often. There are some Banders on here. Hopefully the will respond.
