Have a question or two...

First Hi!!! It's been a while, and while I haven't been around much at all I know that I can always come here if I have any questions.

Personally I feel like I have been struggling with weight again. I have put on 15 pounds this year, but I have also been in the gym for 3-6 days a week for 5 months now. I now run 5 miles in roughly 38 minutes 3-6 times a week. While I am gaining arm definition, chest and legs I am also getting a belly. I am now at 214. I wish we didn't have to have a rebound period. But it is what it is!

OK, so here is my question. I just realized I have not taken my B12 or daily vit's in over 9 months. I am eating regular food, 1/2 portions I guess I call it. I still don't eat white or red meat, only fish.

OK... I am getting to it! Pre surgery I don't think I don't think I was sick but 5 times in my life. I have had the flu/crud/whatever you call it 3 times since September alone. Last year I was sick 4 times. Anyone else more sickly post-op when compared to pre-op status?

Chris...you are eating regular foods and no vitamins???? That is why you are sick!!! I forgot about my B12 for 3 months and at the first stress...SHINGLES!!!! Get back on a plan. Everyday I take 2000 mg Vitamin C, Chewable Iron from Bariatric Advantage, Chewable Flinstone's, calcium, Liquid B12 under my tongue from CVS!!! Get back on it....80-100 grams of protein a day, vitamins and water!!! You can do IT! You do your body right, it will do you right....and vice versa for the wrong!!!

HolliBeth...great advice for Chris!
(By the way... you weigh your GOAL of 130-that is fantastic, BUT...how tall are you?)
ALSO,
I read on your signature the RENT quote... I absolutely LOVED RENT... I saw it on Broadway in NYC a few years ago- it was my very first Broadway Play...
I listen to the CD all the time...It is MY FAVORITE CD to listen to when I am traveling!

Would love to be your OH friend...
Take care and God Bless!

Chris you are doing awesome, but YES...take your vitamins.  I take a shot of B-12 about every 2-3 weeks and I also take a biliqual liquid every day.   I also take my other vits.  As the other person said, that is why you are sick more than likely.  You are doing awesome in weight loss and exercise...just take those vitamins and you will probably see a huge improvement in your health.

Hey good lookin'! I too dont take my vitamins as i should. I take a multivitamin when i remember but i do however take my iron every day because i got severely anemic and after rounds and rounds of iron infusions i decided that wasnt any fun. I too am more sick post op. Its been 4 years and ive been more sick in these 4 years than i have been my whole life probably. Also, the regain/rebound weight sucks big time. ive gained 30lbs in 3 years and cant seem to get it off no matter what i do. My surgeon retired a year post op so i went to see another one and he seems to think its completely normal. my body is happy at the weight. well no **** but im not. Anywho, just letting you know you arent alone.

Have a great day.
