Tusca'loser's Christmas Party TONIGHT!

Red Lobster at 5:30 on Mc Farland Blvd. in Tuscaloosa.  We are allowed to order from there lunch menu for $6.99. 

The party was a great success, even if I did read the time wrong.  It was great to see everyone tonight.  We had about 12 people and a really good time.  REally wish more people from the Tuscaloosa Area would meet with us.  We meet the first Thursday of every month.

We had 14 counting the little fella's.  I thought it was a great turn out.  I can't wait to go Saturday to the party at Logan's Roadhouse.  That was so much fun last year.  AND.....I get to see My STARS group there too.  Should be a fun time by all.  Please don't let me forget my ornament this year like I did last year.  I will certainly need to be reminded of going at least on Friday night.  I am so looking forward to it, but my mind is just not as good as it used to be.  I am getting so forgetful these days.

Anyway, it was good to see you and everyone else tonight.  I was very happy to see everyone.

We will meet at Jason's Deli next month on January 7th at the same time.  5:30 ish.  Seems that is the best time for everyone that comes.  If people want to come in late, that isn't a problem.  We just order when we get there and they are so fast and getting our food for us.  I love being able to order off the kids menu.  They are so good to us at Jason's Deli.

It was brought up tonight that sometimes a pot luck would be nice again.  I think that we can work that into our schedule at different times once we get more people involved again.  We just all need to get on the band wagon and get everyone more involved again.  There are so mnay newbies too, that need our support..  We are just going to have to get on the phone and start making those calls again.  I'm looking forward to it.

Hi I am new to OH and I live in Cottondale. I had RNY on Oct 23rd and would love to come to your mtg.'s the first Thursday of the month... where do you meet? What time?

My name is Lisa Friday. I opened Twinkle Toes Children's Shoes in 2001, then sold it in 2004. Then I bought the Doll Shop in 2007, which after last Christmas, I had to close it because of lack of sales.

Anyway, today, I stay at home and I am just getting used to my new 'tiny tummy' and would love to make some new friends that understand what I am going through.
So, can I be a part of your monthly support group?

Lisa, we would love for you to join us.  We meet the 1st Thursday of every month at Jason's Deli on McFarland Blvd. next to  Manna Grocery.  We start arriving around 5:30 and some people can't get there till closer to 6, We have a good time of talk and fellowship along with good, healthy food.  They also allow us to order from their children's menu.  They are very good to us there at Jason's Deli and we enjoy giving them our business.  On special occasions we may meet at someone's home or another designated place, but I always post any changes here on OH and Facebook and the Alabama WLS Support Group page on Facebook as well.  Come check us out and we look forward to meeting you.
