New Puppy is HOme
Some of you do not know that I had to put my rottie down in September. I immediately went to the Rottie Adoption and got a new dog. Her name is Reizes and she is 19 months old. She has been away at obedience school for the last four weeks. I got her back home today and she is very well trained and well behaved. She is adorable. She is so skinny that she looks like a greyhound, but she will get bigger as time goes a long. She is much taller than my other dog, but she is only 60 pounds right now. She should be about 80 now, so she is underweight. HOwever, she will easily weigh about 120 when she is grown. She will be a big girl. She is a pretty dog.
I cannot wait to meet her. Right now, I am sick again. It's something I acquired during my stay in the hospital, and I'm in a great deal of pain right now.
We also have a new puppy. She's a 10 week old teacup Chihuahua. Jill brought her home from Oklahoma with her last week. We really didn't want another dog, as we are just too busy to take care of her, but we're all adjusting and with all our many schedules, everything has worked out so far. Even my Daddy has fallen in love with her. She's totally blone and looks just like our dear Maggie that was stolen and given away by a "friend" of mine who was taking care of her after our house fire a few years back. Man, what a friend, huh? Needless to say, we haven't spoken since considering she would not get our dog back for us. Jill never got over losing Maggie along with all our belongings in that fateful fire. She's a precious and shy little girl and her name is Lily. She loves her Papa Kyle and they are now in bed asleep. Friday night we had Kyle and myself in bed, with Christian between us, Lily on top of my pillow and in the crook of Kyle's shoulder at times and Whiskers was sleeping at the foot of the bed. We are going to have to get a larger bed. This queen one just isn't large enough for all of us. Sooooo, next time we go mattress hunting, we will be looking for a nice king bed. I can't wait. And I want a GOOD one that will last. We had to settle for less that appropriate after the house fire and the one we have just is not working out for us. I simply ROLL to the middle of the bed. We keep it flipped and also have a 6 in memory foam topper in top of the mattress. Hoping somehow we can eventually get one and somehow use the headboard we have in the process. I don't' think it will be anytime soon, but it's something we definitely need to start saving for if we can ever get caught up on all these bills with me having been off work for 2 solid weeks. Anyway, our new grand puppy's name is Lily. She's just precious. You will have to come and see her too. You must come see our new home, Karla. We're going to have Chip, Lisa's husband do our kitchen and dining room ceilings soon. Actually he's going to help Kyle do it. I can't wait. We will have a copper ceiling. It's going to be a wonderful accent to our home. We also have a lovely Christmas tree up and s few other decorations. We have a small 3 footer in our den a 71/2 foot one in the living room and a 12 in*****hristian's bedroom I hope to get a couple of poinsettias to put in the house I'm really trying to get in the spirit of Christmas. It's never been a good holiday for me. Too much pain frfom my childhood and being OBESE that still hangs over my head during teh holidays. Please keep us in your prayers. I have a heavy heart for some friends of mine along with my family and my health. Hope to see you soon. Do yous still want to meet at Jason's Deli on Thursday evening? I need to make some phone calls if we are still planning on doing that.

That's great news Karla! I remember when you had to put your Hug down and you got Reizes. I did remember you sending her to obedience school, but didn't realize she would stay so long.
We got what we were told was a dachshund the day after Easter Sunday from my nephew. We have since found out she is a Chiweenie. Part Dachshund and part Chihuahua. She is black and tan and has the body and face of a dachshund, cut her legs are a little longer, her ears are a little shorter, and her feet do not bow out like a dachshund's does. She is a sweetheart. They named her Isabella and called her Izzy. We changed her name to Bella. I didn't care for Izzy. She has done great with it. She was about 17 months old when we got her. I was doing a pretty good job training her, but our son had moved back home temporarily and was laid off a week later. He was home all day with her and he spoiled her rotten. He undid the little bit of training I had accomplished. He moved out this weekend so I guess I will start working on training her again. It would be nice to have the money to send her to obedience school, but I'll work on it myself.
Be sure and post some pictures of your new puppy! I'm going to post some of my Bella one of these days!

I normally train my dogs myself. However, this is a Rottie and I want to use her as a therapy dog. Since I will put into a service, she needs credientials. The best training school around us is a boarding/training facility. She had to extend to the fourth week, because she is an alpha female. She is very sweet, but she wants her own way about things. For instance, she broke out of her kennel last night because she wanted to sleep by my bed. I woke up at 4 AM with a dog in my face, when she was supposed to be in her kennel. She was excited last night, so she also had a little accident. However, those things are to be expected of a 19 month old who has just moved back home. She is in the yard at the moment. She can break out of there, too. She can easily jump a five foot fence. She is very athletic.
