Saturday Hugs

You know, we go through so much in life. We often say "well that's just life". I have said that so many times. Now, I try to think of things as opportunities....opportunities to sit and see God's mighty hand at work in situations. I have a person who is very close to me. This person was an addict to the hilt. I tried and tried to "fix" this person. After I finally turned him over to God completely and walked away, which was one of the hardest things I have ever done...I watched God do mighty things. This person is my son. He is now sober, has accepted Christ, has been called into the ministry and the Lord just bubbles out of him. I love just sitting and watching him and seeing what the Lord has done. This was not a quick thing...it took over 5 years of prayer and tears. However, it may have not taken so long, had I moved out of His way. So often, we see the dark and do not think there will ever be light. I was this way. However, I prayed, got out of God's way and little by little, the morning began to appear. There is awesome Joy when the morning comes.
