I'm wanting ham for thanksgiving.  I may try to get a small boneless one for us.  I am going to make greenbean casserole, sweet potato casserole, deviled eggs, creamed white corn and I don't know what else.  I may make a small pan of dressing or may just get a pan from Cracker Barrell.(( I bought some there last year and it's not expensive at all)  No muss, no fuss!   I'm not feeling all in the cooking mood just yet, but I know my family will be hungry.  Oh, and I got a jar of spiced pickled peaches too.  My Mama always loved those at Thanksgiving and Christmas and Apple Rings.  They make me think of my Mama.  I sure do miss her around the holidays.

Thanks for the reminder about the spiced pears and apple rings - my Mom loves them, and since I'm hosting Thanksgiving dinner, I don't want to leave them out!

Hi Hilary.  I will put my thinking cap on and try to come up with something good.  I think one of the best recipes I have ever gotten from our WLS friends in Giesela's Caramel Apple Salad.  Do you have that recipe?

Artichoke Casserole

5 toes of garlic chopped fine
2 jars of artichoke hearts
1 can french style green beans
1 egg
1 cup grated parmesian cheese
italian style bread crumbs
olive oil

saute the garlic in a small amount of olive oil for a few minutes-drain liquid from the artichoke hearts  RESERVE LIQUID-chop the artichoke hearts up and add to the garlic-reduce heat to simmer-drain liquid from the green beans and add to pot-remove from heat-add cheese and egg-mix the egg in quickly so it doesn't cook-add the liquid --now add enough bread crumbs to have a moist "dressing like" consistency.  Put in baking dish sprinkle top with bread crumbs and cheese and bake 350 degrees until thoroughly heated...around 40 minutes.

This is my daughter's favorite Thanksgiving dish!
