Sunday hugs!!!!
Sending out hugs on this awesome Sunday morning. I hope everyone is having an awesome weekend. We are going to see someone special this morning. You all have a great great day!!!!! Love y'all!!!!
Then Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who were instructing the people said to them all, "This day is sacred to the LORD your God. Do not mourn or weep." For all the people had been weeping as they listened to the words of the Law. Nehemiah said, "Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength." The Levites calmed all the people, saying, "Be still, for this is a sacred day. Do not grieve." (Nehemiah 8:9-11)
The Jews who could understand were listening attentively. They were seeking something and came under conviction upon hearing the law read to them. They began to cry and weep due to the conviction. However, they were told not to do this because the joy of the Lord was their strength. Very often, either we do not understand or we do not listen attentively to the Lord. He is telling us that His joy is our strength. No matter what comes our way, no matter what trials we face....He is there and His Joy is ours for the taking. All we have to do it repent and He will fill us with the greatest peace and joy we will ever know. Give everything to Him .... He wants to take the grief and turn it into pure joy.
