Wednesday Hugs
All of the kings officials and the people of the royal provinces know that for any man or woman who approaches the king in the inner court without being summoned the king has but one law: that he be put to death. The only exception to this is for the king to extend the gold scepter to him and spare his life. (Esther 4:11)
Esther was an exceptional young woman. God chose her because He knew she had enough faith in Him to do what had to be done. The Babylonians had taken the Jews captive and the Persians defeated the Babylonians leaving the Jews in Persia. Haman (an evil man) had a plan to destroy the Jews. However, God had a different plan. Esther became queen of Persia and by doing this saved her people, the Jews. Now...can you imagine having to send out a summons in order to see your spouse??? In order for her to talk to her husband, the king, without summons, she could be killed. She had the courage and did what the Lord commanded of her. Esther cared about the good and survival of her people. She followed God's instructions and saved her nation. Wouldn't it be awesome if we had more Esthers around today. People that, no matter the cost, would do what the Lord asks of them. I know I have been guilty at times of not doing so because it was either too hard or for some other reason. However, just as Mordecai told Esther, if she had not done this, God would have sent someone else who would have reaped the rewards. I pray that I never miss an opportunity again to do whatever the Lord has in store for me to do. May we all have the devotion of Esther.

I love you.
Yes may we all have the devotion of Esther! And the courage! :)
I know I have been guilty as well of not doing what the Lord has wanted me to..have you ever felt that tug to reach out to someone and that simple second passes? Sometimes that simple second is all you get.. God is always placing people in your path and sometimes we forget to even look up.
Have a great day Momma. I love you so much!
