Elevated Liver Function Test

Please keep me in your prayers, the last three blood test done this year have shown a significant raise in my liver function test, on the high side.  My family doctor thought it was from my Realize band surgery, so when I talked to the surgeon for my two month follow up appointment, he went through my medical record, and said no, as the liver function test were a little high pre surgery....so I asked him to do another test as a second opinion.  Got a call from the nurse today, saying Dr. Hannon wants me to see a Gastro Intestinal Doctor....my family doctor noticed the high levels two weeks ago, said it could be anything from having a fatty liver, a fatty tumor, or worse yet...bone cancer!!  The surgeon thinks it is related to the liver, might have a sludge problem, or a fatty tumor.  I had a lipoma removed from my leg about 18 yrs ago, and the doctor said some where down the road I could have another one.  Dr. Hannon said because of my weight loss (50 lbs since May), that a fatty tumor could have popped up some where on the liver.  I hope that is all that is wrong...i am doing so well with losing weight, don't want a wrench thrown in the works...if you know what I mean! 
Has anyone else experienced high liver function test numbers?  If so, what did the doctor tell you.  I do know it is not from being banded, as there is a history of high levels of akaline Phosphatase, and bilirubin.  Any ideas would greatly be appreciated.

I had liver functions that were off but my liver had matisized itself to the wall and other organ due to a gastric leak. It took awhile to find out the issue. It was actually found by another surgeon when he opened me up to fix the mess.

Julie, thank you for your prayers and concerns.  According to the surgeon, my liver function test were elevated even before the banding, but not enough to cause concern...my pre op blood work back in May.. showed this, but then in August, had my family doctor do blood work, especially my thyroid, since I have lost a lot of weight to see if my meds needed adjustments, and he also did a liver function panel....it came back elevated.  So, when I talked with the surgeon, he went back into my record before surgery and found that it was elevated, so he ordered another liver function be done last week and it came back still rather high....so I am waiting for his office to fax me and my Gastro Intestinal doc the results...will have past blood work from my family doctor also faxed to him.  IT is a wait and see game right now.  My surgeon's office is slow..told me they would fax the test to me this morning and when I left work this evening had not recieved it.  I am a persistant woman, will call them again tomorrow to find out why it was not faxed like promised.
I have no ill feelings, feel rather good really, other than feeling tired a lot, but with losing all this weight, guess that would make one feel tired at the end of a working day.....I also have some tenderness under the rib cage where the liver is located.  I do hope it is nothing serious, other than too much fat!
