Mom's surgery
Thanks to those who prayed for her. She had her eye surgery and now has a drain ithat has to stay in for , I think, 10 days. My sister takes her back nxt week for her follow-up appt and then she will fly home 1 wek from Saturday. The doctor said the stones in her eyes shouldn't come back now. It had something to di with her tear ducts being chronically infected. Why her eye doctor in Ky couldn't tel that I don't know, but he had also told her she could have the surgery done in the office, too. When she saw the surgeon in Fl on Mon he told her it had to be done at the hospital and he knew she was anxious to get back home, so he told her to call him on Tues if she decided she would like to try to get surgery on Wed, he thought it might be possible. He usually only operates every other week and this was not his operating week, but he called in some favors and got a doc to come in Tues to do her preop stuff, and clear her for Wed. In this day and time, not a lot of doctors would have gone out of their way for a patient. My sister said if she ever needed an opthamologist, she would go to him because of his doing this. Thanks again for your prayers and continue to pray for her that she will leave the band-id holding the drain in place alone. Her eye doc in Ky. will take the drain out when it's time, I just don't want her to be fooling with anything that might pull it out. Thanks to you all. Linda
